Trinity conducted their STEAM project on Endometriosis. After reviewing both their presentation as well as their essay, I can confidently say they taught me a lot about endometriosis that I otherwise would not have known. The only thing I knew about endometriosis was that the inside of the uterus somehow spread to the outside. I didn’t know that the endometrium can spread to other organs outside of the reproductive system, and that the rise and fall of hormones was what contributed to the pain and infertility that those with endometriosis experience. Their art display effectively explains the basic concept of this disease and has great representation via graphs that allow you to visual the sharp spike in hormones, as well as what the uterus may look like with the disease. Overall, their STEAM project was very engaging and informative and I definitely learned from it.
