This project addresses course objective thirty-two, which is to be able to identify the various components of blood and key structural components. I illustrated a waterfall for a play on words of the clotting cascade, a diagram of which is featured in the middle of the piece. The clotting cascade is a complex process by which platelets, proteins, and enzymes form a clot. At the bottom of the piece, I featured an illustration which demonstrates how tranexamic acid prevents plasminogen from breaking down fibrin from clots during the process of fibrinolysis.
