  1. This project summarized what the Dengue virus is and how it has an effect on a human’s immune system. Interestingly, the virus has been active since its first reporting in the 1600’s. Today, it affects 100-400 million people every year. I learned from this project that a serotype refers to the variations of different viruses in their classification. Because the Dengue virus has four serotypes, a person can be infected with the virus four separate times. I like how it seems similar to malaria by mostly being spread by mosquitoes. Great job with tying in the immune system’s response to the virus. It made it much more severe knowing that the body’s immune system has a difficult time fighting off the virus. Your artwork looks great and I can tell that you spent the time to create the layers and different colors of the Dengue virus!
