Based off my knowledge about Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, its a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. The word acute comes from the fact that the disease progresses rapidly and creates immature blood cells, rather than mature ones. In the picture, the pennies represent the normal blood cells and the nickels represent the disease rapidly growing in the blood.
