Posted by My STEAM project is on SVT – AVNRT. SVT is a narrow complex tachycardia that originates from above the ventricles. This can lead to diaphoresis, chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, hypotension and possible syncope. Treatments include vagal maneuvers, adenosine, or synchronized cardioversion. This topic covers the following objectives: Interpret EKG, Explain how the heart is translates an electrical signal to a contraction, Explain how the heart is regulated, Know the path of blood through the heart and circulatory system, and Explain the structure and function the heart. My creative piece is a 12-lead and 4-lead strip of SVT that was generated by an electronic electrical system that I selected interpreted and labeled.
