  1. In Abigail Bishops Steam project, she takes on the task of explaining the role and importance of organelles and all of the very small and focused proteins that allow intercellular communication. Abigail uses paper mache for the art portion of the STEAM project to portray the names of the functional proteins within the cell, with a focus on the ER and the Golgi apparatus communication pathway. She illustrates the intercommunication between organelles, the types of proteins, tethers and spacers, that both hold the ER and the Golgi together and yet apart. She uses colors and has a guide that provides names to help the onlooker understand what color is assigned to these cell participants. The cell like artwork is colorful and almost has the appearance of a happy face.
