I really enjoyed this little comic which explains Chiari Malformation. Chiari Malformation is basically when the brain tissue extends into the spinal canal which can cause a lot of problems. In the comic it shows someone falling downstairs and then the brain is able to “escape” down into the spinal canal and has become misshapen. It makes the person really miserable and in a lot of pain and discomfort. But then, the person/patient was able to get help from a doctor and in the comic they got a surgery which removed the part that was extending down into the spinal canal, and the brain, better known as the “escape artist” is defeated and leaves the patient feeling better and more comfortable! I really enjoyed the comic because it clearly shows the struggle of having Chiari Malformation and also makes the malformation more visible and understandable!
