Basal Cell Carcinoma, also known as BBC.
Ashley Kermoade’s STEAM Project is a drawing of how a Basal Cell Carcinoma looks on the skin. The drawing itself shows the layers in the skin and how the Basal Cell Carcinoma looks in the actual skin layers. It is really easy to see the three layers of the skin, epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis. Accompanying the skin layers is the muscle layer. It is very clearly drawn that the Basal Cell Carcinoma is only affecting the dermis and epidermis skin layers, and that basal cells are the main cells affected.
Accompanying the drawing is a paper describing the artwork and facts about the Basal Cell Carcinoma. It is well written, describing what it is, risk factors, and the stages of BBC. Using both together is really informative and easy to understand. One part of the paper that was really interesting is the description of the BBC and its four stages.
Overall the artwork is done really well and it is easy to understand.
