  1. Hi Riga! I enjoyed your comic book! It talked about Bob, who is a newborn baby, and how his body is made up of cells and how important lipids, carbohydrates, proteins, and amino acids are for our bodies. Everything has a function and role, and in order for us to be healthy, we need a good balance of these. Amino acids are complex structures that are made up of long chains that contain hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen. Antibody proteins protect the body from unwanted substances, enzymes help to speed up chemical reactions in our bodies, and growth hormones help the body grow. A protein-rich diet is essential to a healthy, functioning body, and protein is the only macronutrient that contains nitrogen. They are also the building blocks of our muscles. Your body breaks down proteins into amino acids, which are then used to create more proteins, and they repair damaged muscles and promote larger and stronger muscles. It is also important to eat protein in a timely manner after you workout your muscles, as it will help optimize your recovery. Although the amount of protein our bodies need depends on our body mass, body composition, and lifestyle. This was a good refresher! Thanks 🙂
