  1. Gabriel’s STEAM project goes into reasons for the importance of strength training, especially with knee flexion and extension, and he demonstrates this through two different olympic lifts. Muscle training can be very essential for daily activities and improving overall health, and a solution for certain illnesses tied to limited mobility is activities like resistance training. The process of your body repairing damaged muscle fibers to make new ones is used throughout the body in many different ways. This process can be initiated in three different ways, first being through muscle tension, then muscle damage, and lastly by metabolic stress. Each in their own way activates satellite cells and triggers muscle development or contributes to muscle growth. These mechanisms can be attributed to a big reason for why we build muscle. Overall these techniques can be very helpful for all types of people. Strength training through squats or other complicated exercises targets mobility, strength, coordination and explosiveness in the positions, so within these exercises knee flexion and extension are very important. Strength training can also be very good for those living a sedentary lifestyle. By incorporating strength training it could improve many current and future health conditions, allow for more mobility in daily activities, and overall quality of life. So, muscle development can be essential for bone and muscle health in your body, and for whatever type of lifestyle you live.
