  1. The song was pretty great and I believe the course objective that this was based off of was explaining an action potential. It conveyed information about ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) well and I learned a lot from the song. From what I learned, ALS is a nervous system disease that affects the cells in the brain and spinal cord. Part of the song mentioned that it can progress as far as to having complete muscle failure of important organs such as the lungs. ALS often begins with muscle twitching in the face, slowly progressing over time to major organs as explained above. Another part mentioned in the song had to do with the fact that the disease currently has no known causes nor cure. Basically, if you get the disease, it will likely be fatal or cause permanent damage to the nervous system.
This is due to the disease killing off nerve cells slowly over time. It usually starts in smaller muscles, spreading to other parts of the body, weakening cells over time. When reading further into the disease, I found out that that Lou Gherig was one of the most notable individuals diagnosed with ALS. He was a former MLB player that became diagnosed and helped created a foundation based on developing research for the disease for those who continue to become diagnosed with it.
Overall, this seemed really well thought out and the information provided was really good and I have no idea how you managed to make that into a rap.
