  1. This project does a really great job at visually explaining the process of healing a third degree burn. In a third degree burn the epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis are all incredibly damaged, if not destroyed, and can be incredibly difficult to heal. According to this project, hydrogel dressing can be used to speed up the healing process, as it’s safe to assume a third degree burn would take a very long time to heal. This makes it susceptible to infection however, which is where the use of honey dressing comes in (I would love to learn more about how this works!). Even so, due to how extensive the damage is, third degree burns may not heal completely and will leave scar tissue. Overall, I think this project was very creative and I really liked how it wasn’t overly complicated/made the topic easy to understand.
